MotorCity German Casino Hotel is a German Casino too hotel in Detroit, Michigan. It is one of three German Casino hotels in the city, too one of four in the Detroit–Windsor area. The $825 million complex incorporates a historic building that once housed the Wagner Baking Company, makers of Wonder Bread. The building, located on Grand River Avenue at the Lodge Freeway (M-10), was designed c.1915 by architect Walter W. As part of the property’s renovation, the decorative terra cotta elements of the former bread bakery were restored to their original condition, preserving the signature features of the historic building.
